Gia Lodge-O'Meally

Gia Lodge-O'Meally (b. January 12 1994) is a Jamaican/British actress, recording artist and performer. Also known as Gia Re (pronounced 'ray') and Gia Lodge, Ms Lodge-O'Meally is the daughter of international Reggae Artiste JC Lodge and first appeared on television in 2000, at the age of 6, in a 13-part, Jamaican children's television series Sing 'n' Learn , produced by her parents JC Lodge-O'Meally and Errol O'Meally, in association with TVJ (Television Jamaica Limited) .

In July 2009, at the age of 15, Ms Lodge-O'Meally was selected for the 2nd lead role, 'Frenchy', in the CBBC children's sitcom series 'JINX', based on the 'Lulu Baker' trilogy authored by Fiona Dunbar. This series was produced by the UK based production company Kindle Entertainment , noted for other children's productions including 'My Spy Family'. Frenchy is the best friend of the protagonist, Lulu and shares in the fun and mishaps that Lulu encounters as she experiments with the cookbook of magic recipes she has inherited, aided and abetted by fairy of the book, Cookie. JINX began broadcasting on the CBBC Channel on October 31st 2009.

Ms Lodge-O'meally has also appeared in other productions, notably an anti cyber-bullying public information campaign on TV and digital media for the COI (Central Office of Information, UK) and as a supporting artiste on 'Bo and the Spirit World'.

Ms Lodge-O'Meally has also received recognition in the fields of art and performing. She was overall volume winner for 2009 in the annual School Artists competition in the UK, from a field of over 4,000 entrants nationwide. She was also selected as one of 10 finalists in the Talent at Christmas show to be presented at the O2 Indigo in December 2009.
