Ghost Watch Wales was started by Geraint Hopkins also known as Geraint The Snakeman for his work with reptiles and charitable causes in Llanelli and the surrounding areas. Ghost Watch Wales has been involved in hundreds of television and radio programmes including Most Haunted and Most Haunted Live. Ghost Watch Wales is still based in Llanelli and has visited some of the most haunted locations in Wales including Sker House, Llanelly House and Margam Castle.

Ghost Watch Wales has more recently been involved in its own productions and are credited with publicising not only its hometown of Llanelli on a large scale but also its locations. Attractions which welcome GWW report having seen a massive boost to their visitor numbers.
