Ghost Force (novel)
Ghost Force is a 2006 publication, the most recent novel in a series of works by British author Patrick Robinson. It contains characters found in previous Robinson novels.
Plot summary
The Falkland Islands were a subject of sovereignty claim of Argentina. In Spring 2011, the secret planning of Argentina was launched. Argentina invaded the Falklands and forced-marched the Exxon Mobile's men off. The British Prime Minister wanted to retake the islands, despite the Military's high command's warning, he opted the Royal Navy to go. In a two-hour fierce battle the Army and the Navy were defeated with heavy losses. The United States were furious of this act. The navy managed to persuade the legendary Commander Rick Hunter to return. The mission: to hammer the military facilities on the Falklands owned by Argentina and free the Falklands. To Hunter, the mission struck close to home. The British SAS team leader (his brother-in-law) and the team were trapped in the Falklands with a huge manhunt closing in on them...
