Geoservice Ingeniería
Geoservice Ingeniería is a Peruvian firm which specialises in providing engineering and consulting services. Its major focus is on environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies, hydrological studies, construction management, and geotechnical studies. Since the mining industry constitutes one of the key fields for the development of Peru, engineering firms such as Geoservice Ingeniería are among the firms enabling this development.
Recent expertise
Geoservice Ingeniería played a very important role in the approval of EIA studies of Southern Peru Copper Corporation's (SPCC) Tia Maria major copper project.
Southern Peru Copper Corporation received the approval of the EIA on Aug 4th 2014, though the route to get said approval was not easy. There were social conflicts in 2011 that put at risk the development of the project.
On September 2014 Geoservice Ingeniería was hired again by Southern Copper Corporation to prepare studies on surface and underground water resources as well as hydraulic infrastructure linked to river Locumba water resources usage planning.
