Geneva Health International Ltd is a New Zealand owned specialist health recruitment company providing a range of temporary, permanent and contract health jobs in nursing, medical, clinical support, allied health and homecare and community services.

History

The Company originated in 1972 as Lampen Associates, who then specialised in construction and engineering recruitment. Later expanding to accounting, sales and office support staff. In 1997 the Company identified a need within the public and private health sectors for the provision of temporary and permanent health professionals. Lampen Healthstaff was subsequently set up in Auckland by Josephine Wallis.

The Company was able to grow at both a national and international level and in February 1999 the Wellington office was opened, and the London office was opened in August 1999. In January 2000, Lampen Healthstaff acquired Medstaff International, another medical recruitment company in New Zealand.

On February 7, 2000, both companies merged to become Geneva Health International, resulting in being the largest supplier of temporary and permanent health professionals in New Zealand.

More recently in 2008, regional offices throughout New Zealand were established to cover the main centres providing a localised service to Clients and Candidates. These regional offices are located in Wellington, Christchurch, Hawke’s Bay and Bay of Plenty/Waikato.

In 2008 Geneva Health was awarded “Favourite Large Specialist Recruiter” at the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards.

The recruitment team has an extensive knowledge base of regions and the local market vacancies and are able to offer accurate and up to date advice.

United Kingdom

Geneva Health International has contracts to recruit into British Columbia and Alberta in Canada. They are contracted to assist Canadian Health Authorities in these two provinces with the recruitment of nurses from Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom with occasional flexibility to assist those from India and the Middle East.

Geneva Health International assist nurses and their families through the whole process by helping nurses through the nursing registration requirements in their chosen Canadian Province, securing an employment offer and work permit.
