Garten of Banban II

Garten of Banban II (also known as Garten of Banban 2) is a survival horror video game developed and published by the . It is the second installment in the Garten of Banban series and the sequel to Garten of Banban. The game continues the player's search for their missing child after the events of the first game, taking place primarily in the underground facilities beneath Banban's Kindergarten.

Garten of Banban II is played from a first-person perspective. The player explores the underground sections of Banban's Kindergarten, solves environmental puzzles, collects keycards and other items, and encounters various creatures inhabiting the facility.

The remotely controlled drone from the first game returns as a central gameplay mechanic. The drone can be used to activate buttons, interact with objects and access areas that the player cannot reach directly. The game introduces additional puzzles and more elaborate chase sequences compared with its predecessor.

The player progresses through several areas of the underground facility, including the Communications Sector, Medical Sector and Testing Sector. Some sections require the player to complete classroom activities and other minigames before continuing.

Following the events of Garten of Banban, the player continues searching for their missing child inside Banban's Kindergarten. After the events of the first game, the player discovers that the kindergarten contains a large underground facility.

The player enters the underground complex after an elevator accident and begins exploring its various sectors. During the investigation, they encounter several of the facility's inhabitants, including , , , , , and .

The player initially encounters Banban through the facility's security system. Banban claims to be trapped in a security room and asks the player for assistance. However, after the player reaches the room, Banban attacks them and takes them to the Medical Sector.

After escaping the Medical Sector, the player continues into the Testing Sector, where they encounter Banbaleena and participate in activities inside her classroom. The player later encounters Opila Bird and her offspring and must navigate several areas while avoiding the creatures inhabiting the facility.

The player eventually reaches the Assembly area, where several of the kindergarten's creatures pursue them. After escaping the facility's inhabitants, the player reaches another worker lift and continues deeper into the underground complex.

Garten of Banban II was developed and published by the Euphoric Brothers. It was developed using Unreal Engine 5.

The game was released for Windows on March 3, 2023. A mobile version followed on March 8, 2023, with console versions released in June 2024.

The game was released on several digital storefronts, including Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Google Play Store and the App Store. Console versions were subsequently released for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Garten of Banban II received mixed reviews from critics.

praised the increased number of horror sequences compared with the first game, noting that the sequel contains considerably more set-piece sequences than its predecessor, while also criticizing aspects of the game's presentation and gameplay.

A review by Rotting Zombie discussed the game's additional lore, including information presented through letters and video material, while also examining its puzzle and horror elements.
