Gabriel Caste

Gabriel Caste is an American film and stage actor, best known for his role as Jeff Tripodi in the B.E.T. film Frozen Lies as well as his work on After Earth by M. Night Shyamalan. Caste is also recognized for his role as a [...] man in a Smoke-Free Philly commercial. Caste is also one of two founding members of *Bara Barbas* productions, which is based in Philadelphia and Scranton, Pennsylvania, as well as Los Angeles.

Life and career

Gabriel Caste was born, Gabriel Luis Castellanos Jr. in Somerset, New Jersey. He spent his childhood with his Cuban father, Gabriel Luis Castellanos, Sr., his Italian mother, Sue Ann Collins-McHugh, and his sister, Katelyn Castellanos. After Caste had moved out, his parent's adopted a son, Brian Luis Castellanos. Caste has a Theater BA from Temple University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Caste began acting at North Hunterdon High School in Annandale, New Jersey, where he was involved in various Shakespearean stage plays. After graduation, Caste was involved with music, touring down the east coast of America. Orchard and the Axe was a death metal band, in which Caste played bass guitar and back-up vocals. After leaving this band, he founded a solo Crunkcore performance, called Fat Ghost.

Caste has made several T.V. appearances, such as the Tim Qualls Show, by Delaware 28. Caste is currently working on After Earth, alongside Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Zoe Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo, and Isabelle Fuhrman. The M. Night Shyamalan-directed film will be released in 2013.
