History

FutureView Financial Services Limited, formerly known as FutureView Securities Limited is an investment banking institution in Nigeria. Founded in 1993, FutureView commenced operations in 1996. It has its head office on Plot 161D, Raufu Taylor Close, off Idejo Street, off Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. FutureView has offices in leading commercial cities in Nigeria, namely Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Registered by The Nigerian STOCK Exchange (NSE) and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to provide investment banking services, FutureView Financial Services Limited commenced business in November 1996 with an authorized paid up share capital of N10 Million, which was increased to N5 Billion due to the capitalization of earnings and a recent private placement.

Currently one of the most capitalized operators on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), FutureView has clients that include blue chip corporations, governments, individuals and institutional investors

Corporate Finance

In Nigeria's financial sector, FutureView Financial Services Limited is a provider of integrated Capital Market solutions, helping companies and public institutions to raise funds from the Capital Market through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Public Offerings, and Private Placements, Bonds, Mortgage, Debentures etc.

Security trading services

One of the biggest trader by volume of transaction, which is in excess of N2trn, FutureView specialises in brokerage, dealing, stock trading, receiving agency services, retainership services for listed companies and Broker to New Issues.

Wealth and asset management

FutureView claims to have carved a niche for itself as portfolio manager and investment advisory service provider for Individuals, companies and institutional investors in Nigeria. This probably accounts for its large pension/gratuity fund, Ultra & High Net Worth Individual, Investment advisory, retirement & financial planning services portfolio.

Fixed income securities management

Futureview is experienced in the issuance of fixed income products such as treasury bills, commercial papers and bonds (Futureview is one of the major agents of the Debt Management Office with experience in the issuance of Federal Government bonds).

Business advisory services

Futureview's consulting arm provides Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring, Financial Advisory, Change Management, Privatization, Project Finance and Management support services.

Research

FutureView Research provides financial and strategic advice. Futureview also provides analysis on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Achievements

FutureView has been ranked as one of the top two traders on the floor of Nigeria's Stock Exchange since 2001, and has raised over N500 billion for different clients from the capital market. It took over 25 banks to the capital market in the Central Bank of Nigeria -induced banking consolidation exercise in 2005.

Futureview was Issuing House/Financial Adviser to the Federal Government on its first N150billion bond issue, and featured prominently as financial advisers in the Merger and Acquisition (M&A) of some of the most outstanding financial institutions in Nigeria.

The company was also awarded West African Issuing House of the Year in 2005 by Institute of Direct Marketing of Nigeria (IDMN)for its contribution to the growth and development of the Nigerian capital market.

Futureview is the European Economic Development Council (EEDC) representative in Africa.
