Future Century Mobile Units

This is a list of fictional weapons from the Future Century timeline of the anime Gundam metaseries.

Mobile fighter G Gundam

There is a LONG list of Gundams seen in Mobile Fighter G Gundam; there are probably more Gundams that were not seen in the series (the presence of the Neo-Iraqi "Scud Gundam" indicates that even minor countries have developed Gundams of their own for the Gundam Fight). There May Be as many as 267 Gundams in the 13th Gundam Fight (267 being the number of nations and major administrative regions on Earth As of 2004). Many Gundams in this series are based on ethnic stereotypes (witness Neo-Mexico's "Tequila Gundam").

In G Gundam, each Gundam's model number is based on a code that gives detailed information AbOUT the country's performance in the Gundam Fight. If one takes the model number of the GF13-017NJII God Gundam:

  • GF13 - Gundam Fight number (13th).
  • -017 - Placing in previous Gundam Fight (17th).
  • NJ - Sponsor nation (Neo Japan).
  • II - Second mobile suit fielded by the sponsor nation.

Specific Gundam Databases

Pilot: Domon Kasshu

Created by the space colony of Neo Japan, the Shining Gundam is assigned to colony martial arts champion Domon Kasshu. This mobile fighter is designed expressly for close combat, and its main weapons are the beam swords carried on its left hip. However, the Shining Gundam's most effective attack is the high-temperature Shining Finger grip, which can instantly destroy the heads of enemy mobile fighters - thus achieving an immediate victory under the rules of the Gundam Fight, while leaving the rival Gundam Fighter unharmed. To use this weapon, the Shining Gundam must change into its open-faced Battle Mode, and under extreme conditions Domon can further power up his mobile fighter into a high-performance Super Mode. The Shining Gundam is destroyed in battle with the Devil (Dark) Gundam in the Guyana Highlands. When this happens, Rain transfers the battle data to a new Gundam, God (Burning) Gundam, which Domon uses to escape.

Pilot: Domon Kasshu

The God (Burning) Gundam, a new mobile fighter developed by the space colony of Neo Japan to replace the battered Shining Gundam, is delivered to Domon Kasshu as he enters the final phase of the 13th Gundam Fight. Even under Normal conditions the God Gundam's performance equals that of its predecessor's Super Mode, and it can further power up into an invincible Hyper Mode. In this form, the mobile fighter's chest opens to reveal an energy multiplier, the wing-like field emitters on its back unfold, and it can execute a devastating God Finger attack that far surpasses the destructive power of the original Shining Finger. In the Finals, Domon CREATES different tactics to combat the specialized skills of his opponents.

Pilot: Chibodee Crocket

Developed by the space colony of Neo America, the Gundam Maxter is designed to showcase the unique fighting skills of colony boxing champion Chibodee Crocket. The Gundam Maxter is normally protected by football-style armor plating, and compensates for its limited mobility by riding its jet shield like an airborne surfboard. In this form, the mobile fighter's main weapons are its beam-firing Gigantic Magnums, and fighting knuckles which fit over its hands to deliver a high-impact Cyclone Punch. When the Gundam Maxter transforms into its more agile Boxer Mode, it jettisons its chest armor, and its shoulder guards move to its forearms to deliver Chibodee's trademark Burning Punch.
