Fungola

Fungola were an alternative rock group from Perth, Scotland. The band were formed in Perth, Scotland in 1996 and consisted of Paul Bywalec (vocals/guitar), Michael Cattanach (guitar), Dave Robb (bass/screaming) and Colin Brown (drums). They played their first show at the Jaffa Cake, King's Stables Road, Edinburgh on 18th March 1997 and went on to play numerous other live shows throughout the following two years until they disbanded in August 1999 after a turbulent gig at the Gallery in Edinburgh - a venue which was subsequently destroyed by the fire in 2002. 1 Two studio recordings were made each with 4 tracks:

Record 1: 1) Mad Emotion 2) My Sentiment 3) Bastardo 4) Bona Fide

Record 2: 1) Come On Down 2) Sally 3) Intruder Alert 4) Postal

Both records were made at the well-known Chambers Studios in Granton, North Edinburgh (Scotland) with the producer Jamie Watson. The studio was previously associated with Scottish alternative music luminaries such as Long Fin Killie, Idlewild and Sad Society and has a pool table in the rec-room. Some of these tracks can still be heard at 2.

Bywalec emigrated to Algeria to in 2006 where he spends most of his time photographing the local wildlife and having GFE's.

Cattanach, now a penniless alcoholic, resides under the Forth Rail Bridge. He can often be found dancing for tourist's money at Inverkeithing Railway Station.

Brown, a self-confessed bam, won £75,000 on the national link-up bingo game. He lives on a static caravan site at Seton Sands. He makes his living from whittling driftwood into drumsticks and selling them to local musicians.

Robb got progressively better looking day by day. He now works as an underwear model for Calvin Klein and has just released his own brand of fragrance, "WOO!", in time for Christmas. He made his fortune from his famous one man plays first performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2003.
