Frosty Freeze Ice Cream
Frosty Freeze Ice Cream was founded in 2005 by Joe Kelsey who started in the ice cream business at the young age of 16. Joe began his career peddling ice cream for the worlds largest ice cream bicycle company, Dickie Dee. Joe quickly found his calling and took over a Dickie Dee franchise based in Oshawa Ontario. In 2005 Joe changed the name of the business to Frosty Freeze because of the direction the business was now heading and opened up other locations under the same brand. Frosty Freeze teamed up with Twistee Treat Canada to bring an extremely innovative soft ice cream machine to market. This innovative machine from One-Shot which is based in the U.K., produces individually portioned soft cream in a very unique way. The product is pre-portioned in 6 oz recyclable containers which eliminates sanitization, reduces wasted product and produces not only unlimited flavour choices but product choices as well. Frosty Freeze was one of the first companies to create Organic Soft Ice Cream flavours as well as a trademarked Soy Serve which comes in numerous flavours including mango and neopolitan. In 2007 Frosty Freeze partnered up with David Chodosh and Jonzo Inc. to create an innovative twist to cream floats. The product called The Fizz is essentially an ice cream float on the go! The consumer screws the pre-portioned cup onto any plastic soda bottle and when the soda bottle is squeezed soda travels up the straw and mixes with the ice cream to produce an ice cream float. The product will be launched in 2008 and will be available around the world.
