Freemind (comics)

Freemind is an American comic book published by Future Comics between 2002-2003. It was written by David Michelinie, inked And Co-plotted by Bob Layton and was pencilled by [...] Giordano, Bob McLeod, Mike Leeke, Ron Frenz and Bob Hall. It lasted seven issues, with a 0 PREview issue, from a planned twelve issue run.

Plot

Freemind tell the story of McKinsey Flint. Flint is a Stephen Hawking type character. He is a brilliant scientist, but he is trapped by the constraints of his wheel chair as a paraplegic. Flint uses technology to transfer his conscience to an android. this gives him full mobility. It also frees him to use 100% of his brain, not the normal 10 percent that people usually use. this gives his amazing powers. The android is given the name Edison Wilde. The name is taken from Frank Einstein and Oscar Wilde. The transfer is only temporary. Flint's original body is left vulnerable while his mind is away.
