Fortified Destruction
Fortified Destruction Was an Indian Melodic death metal band founded in 2011.
Early days
The band was formed in 2011 and initially named as Hallucination Extreme by vocalist Hex, the initital line up consisted of Cletus on Lead guitar, Merwyn on Rhythm guitar, Arnold on Bass guitar, Srinath on Keyboards and Sidharth on drums, the band had a few rehearsal sessions and directly entered studio to records their cover single “Fear of the dark” (by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden), shortly afterwards Hex fired the guitarist duo along with the bassie due to musical genre differences,Hex then took up lead guitar in addition with his vocals and recruited Ex-Neverek drummer Pradeep Gopalan to handle the rhythm guitar duties, they changed the name to “Fortified Destruction”, along with Srinivas Anand (Ex-Chaotic oblivion) on bass and Sidharth on drums they recorded their first single “Demonology”, a drastic change in musical direction, super fast riffs, complex drumming and intricate baselines added with Hex’s black metal influenced vocals their genre became a mixture of black/thrash/death with neo-classical lead guitar work, after Pradeep quit the band for personal reasons, Komal stepped in for Bass and Srinivas shifted to rhythm guitars, they played their first gig with new keyboard recruit Gideon Solomon.
Fortified Destruction Co-Headlined the first ever metal festival in Coimbatore, along with Thrash.
The band called it quits when frontman Hex went on to form Diabolus Arcanium with keyboardist Roshan YR aka Archon.
