Forsyth County Beekeepers Association of NC
Organized on November 18, 1973, the Forsyth County Beekeepers Association of NC (FCBA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(5) chapter of the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association, Inc. There were 38 charter members.
Mission Statement
The mission of the FCBA is to promote honey bees and healthy beekeeping practices in their county. They aim to train beekeepers in practical, successful, and responsible beekeeping practices and foster closer relationships amongst beekeepers. Furthermore, they seek to educate the general public AbOUT the benefits of bees to our ecology, the wonderful products of the hive, and to increase their fascination of the insect they love so much.
Bee School
The FCBA conducts an annual course, called "Bee School," that trains those interested in becoming beekeepers. The FCBA also provides testing (both written and practical) for certification, the first level of the NC Master Beekeeper Program.
