Foreign Legion (hip hop crew)

Foreign Legion is a hip hop crew from Oakland, California. Prozack (Zack Turner) and DJ Design (Keith Griego) made demos together in high school. The group was completed when Marc Stretch joined the crew.

They released their first album, 'Kidnapper Van: Beats To Rock While Bike-Stealin' in 2000. Laced with SP 1200 and ASR-10 beats and lyrics highly critical of both mainstream and underground hip hop, the record enjoyed heavy rotation on college radio.

Their second album, Playtight, was released on DJ Design's Look Records label in 2002. He called it their "club record".

Prozack stated in an interview that DJ Design amicably left the group in 2007 due to MusicAL differences. DJ Flip, an Irish DJ who collaborated with Prozack on his 2006 release Bangathon, took over the turntables for Foreign Legion. The group released an EP, The Secret Knock, in March 2008. Marc Stretch went on to be inducted into the private hip hop organization Urban Umpires.
