FocusEconomics (FE) is a private company that offers macroeconomic forecasts for over 70 countries based on a consensus forecast of many economists. It is based in Barcelona, Spain.
History
FocusEconomics was founded in 1998.
Forecasts
FocusEconomics publishes its consensus forecasts every month. The forecasts are based on a survey of several hundred economic experts from banks, think tanks, and consultancies. The forecasts are checked and analyzed by our in-house team of economists and complemented with brief commentaries on the latest economic trends. The forecasts cover more than 70 countries in the following geographic regions: Asia, Eastern Europe, Euro Area, Latin America, and the Nordic economies.
Reception
FocusEconomics has partnered with other organizations around the world to offer detailed forecasts and reports. Examples are RiskPro in India and Market Publishers Ltd. in the United States.
