Faircoop

Fair.coop is an open global cooperative, self-organized via the Internet and remaining outside nation-state control.

Its aim is to make the transition to a new world by reducing the economic and social inequalities among human beings as much as possible, and at the same time gradually Contribute to a new global wealth, accessible to all humankind as commons.

History

It started on September 17, 2014. It was launched by Enric Duran, and other reputed activists soon joined.

Faircoin

FairCoop uses faircoin as its main currency. It is a Cryptocurrency, but unlike Bitcoin (POW), it is not mined. Instead, creation of new coins is done by minting (POS). However, this will change in the near future, and money creation will be done exclusivelly by consensus from the fairCoop community.

Structure

It is a decentralized structure, usually depicted as an ecosystem. It has four funds (trees), several commissions (branches)

FairCredit

A decentralized mutual credit system. The value of fairCredits is backed by faircoin.

CoopWallet

A wallet to store faircoins. It is currently under development by Unsystem. It will be multicurrency, and will include several advanced anonymity tools, such as multisignature, CoinJoin mixing and stealth addresses.
