Faculty of Sociology and Anthropology Thammasat University
Faculty of Sociology and Anthropology, Thammasat University (; ), with the nickname Sang Wid Thammasat () is a Thai academic faculty and administrative body of Thammasat University, Ministry of Education, installed by the law on Thammasat University. The faculty was established to be the eighth faculty since Thammasat University has served Thailand. It also is the first faculty, which provide these disciplines, in Thailand. To respond to the needs of social development in country, its duty is to produce graduates to be technical experts and researchers, who are filled with skill in Sociology and Anthropology.
Since the essentials of these disciplines being viewed, sociology and anthropology are very popular and interesting in many countries which are various in socio-cultural differences such as USA, India, Japan, UK or, Australia. Due to the variety of Thais, the faculty has to serve Thai society in many aspects.
