Eve's Weekly Miss India
Eve's Weekly Miss India was a national pageant in India organized by a Bombay based magazine Eve's Weekly that sent its winner to compete in Miss World pageant from 1959 to 1966.
History
The first EDition of Eve's Weekly Miss India pageant was held in 1959. Fleur Ezekiel of Mumbai was crowned the first ever Miss World India. She represented India at Miss World 1959.
In 1966, Reita Faria was crowned Eve's Weekly Miss India. She represented India at Miss World 1966 and became first Indian and Asian to win Miss World crown. This was the last edition of Eve's Weekly Miss India pageant after that Bharat Sundari held the franchise for Miss World in India from 1968 to 1975.
