Everything is A OK: A Dallas, TX punk documentary is a 2020 documentary film which explores the history of the punk rock scene in Dallas from the late 1970s to the early 2000s.
Synopsis
The documentary examines the history and impact of the punk rock scene in Dallas, Texas. Events and bands covered in the film include the 1978 performance of The Nervebreakers at the Longhorn Ballroom, where they opened for Sex Pistols and more recent performances of punk rock at the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas. The film also features interviews from people who worked at various venues associated with the punk rock scene, as well as performers.
Production
Of the film, director Justin Powers has stated that he had always wanted to create a documentary about punk rock in Texas. The project's scope was narrowed due to financial limitations and Powers chose to focus on Dallas as he "was already personally friends with a good majority of the people I would need to talk to, to start getting it done." He began work on Everything is A OK in 2013 and over several years interviewed over 60 people for the film, some of whom died before the documentary could come to completion.

Everything is A OK premiered at the Texas Theatre Drive-in in Dallas on November 27, 2020.<ref name=":0" />
