European Business Awards
The European Business Awards is a European awards programme started in 2007.
History
Businesses operating in the European Union can enter The European Business Awards. It is an awards programme created by Adrian Tripp, founder of the UK National Business Awards.
Past events have been held in Brussels, Paris and Rome. Approximately 200-250 people attend the awards ceremony where finalists, or Ruban d’Honneur winners as they’re known, receive a framed medal and certificate, and overall winners receive a European Business Awards trophy.
Entries open around May and entrants usually have six months to complete their forms.
Structure
Entrants go through a judging process that includes registering, nominating categories and filling out an entry form. Successful entrants present their business in front of a panel of judges. The judges are from all over Europe, and can represent different industries and countries.
Some of the judges that have sat on the panels are:
Emil Constantinescu, former President of Romania
Arnold Ruutel, former President of Estonia
Petar Stoyanov, former President of Bulgaria
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International
Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, MEP
Oliver Rapf, CEO of World Wildlife Fund
Wim Kok, former Prime Minister of The Netherlands
