ETH Bioenergia
ETH Bioenergia is a Brazil-based bioenergy company and the world biggest ethanol sugar cane company. The company is engaged in marketing ang logistics of ethanol, electricity energy and sugar. ETH Bioenergia isa company of Brazilian conglomerate Odebrecht, with equity of 33% Japan's Sojitz.
In 2009 the ETH Bioenergia bought Brenco, a Brazilian renovables enegy company and become the world leader in the production of ethanol from sugar cane.
The company produces 3 billion liters of ethanol per year, 2,500 gigawatt-hours (GWh) per year of electricity energy from biomass, 37 millions tons osf sugarcane crushing and 600 thousand tons of sugar. Its takes 10% of Brazilian production and 5% of world production of biofuel.
The company has 9 production centers in 4 Brazilian states: São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.
The major competitors of ETH Bioenergia are Cosan, Louis Dreyfus Group and Bunge.
