Erryn Arkin

Erryn Arkin (born 16 October 1982) is an Australian actor involved in film and television. A graduate of the University of NSW, he completed theatrical training in Los Angeles, as well as at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney.

Originally performing in various theatre productions, Arkin's professional career began in the early 2000s and he has since worked on Australian TV series such as Home and Away, Blue Water High, Rescue: Special Ops and most recently on Fox's Crime Investigation Australia, in which he plays a leading role from 2009.

He has appeared in films such as Cedar Boys and Killer. Arkin stars in The Illustrator, due for festival release in 2010.

As of February 2010, online speculation has it rumored that Erryn Arkin will star in The Hobbit, to be directed by Guillermo del Toro and produced by Peter Jackson, although the film's complete cast is yet to be officially announced.
