Eric LaHaie
Eric LaHaie (born 1980) is an American ultramarathon runner and former American football player.
He competed for Harvard University's football team and was named to the Ivy League second-team All-Ivy selection in 2001 as a linebacker. He later became known for competing in multi-stage ultramarathons, including races in the Gobi Desert, Taklamakan Desert and Sahara Desert.
Early life
LaHaie attended Harvard University, where he played American football for the Harvard Crimson football team. He was initially a defensive back and was later converted to linebacker.
During the 2001 season, LaHaie was part of a Harvard defense that helped the team complete an undefeated and untied season. He was selected to the second team of the All-Ivy League football selections as a senior linebacker.
LaHaie graduated from Harvard University in 2002. He was among the Harvard defensive backs who left the football team following the 2001 season.
