Enoh Eyoung Gill-Racine

Enoh Eyoung Gill-Racine Besong is a Cameroonian child poet and writer known for publishing his first poetry collection at the age of seven. He gained national attention in Cameroon following the release of his debut book, A Toast To My Experiences, in 2023.

Early life

Enoh Eyoung Gill-Racine Besong was born and raised in Yaoundé, Cameroon. According to interviews published during the launch of his first book, he began writing at the age of five and developed an early interest in poetry and storytelling.

His father stated that the young writer drew inspiration from daily experiences, school life, holidays, and the literary environment around him.

Career

In May 2023, Enoh published his debut poetry collection titled A Toast To My Experiences. The book was officially launched virtually in Cameroon on 25 May 2023.

The publication attracted media attention because of his young age, with commentators describing him as one of the youngest published writers in Cameroon in recent years.
