EMS-10 Zudah

This article is AbOUT a fictional weapon from the Gundam metaseries.

During the Principality of Zeon's race to develop a superior fighting machine, they developed four prototype mobile suits from different engineering companies: one of these was Zimmad Company's EMS-04 Zudah. It had a good powerplant, an excellent armament (120mm machine gun, 280mm bazooka, sturm fausts and a heat hawk Type3), and good rocket thrust. However, the suit did have limits: if the engines are used for too long, the suit overloads and breaks apart. Zeonic Company used this information to outdo the Zudah with their well-known MS-04 Protype Zaku and successfully marketed the Zaku series.

However, this was not the end of the story. The Zudah would indeed be used, but under the model number EMS-10, and sports some minor improvement and cosmetic differences. Its left shoulder now mounts a movable shield that can be swung to the back, and was equipped with spikes for melee combat. Other new equipments that can be used are the updated Zaku weapons, as well as a 135mm anti-ship cannon.

For propaganda purpose, the four Zudah is being "tested" by the 603 Experimental group in two combat situations. The First One, against a Federation Salamis-class cruiser and several RB-79 Ball units, results in the lose of a Zudah due to the suit overload. On the second "test", the three remaining Zudahs would be piloted by three Zeon ace pilots, Jean Luc Duvall, Hideto Washiya and Monique Cadillac, to help defend the Odessa forces that managed to escape to outer space (as those stationed in Odessa are ground based, they cannot fight in space efficiently). While they manage to destroy all the attacking Federation units, and proved its worth by outlasting the GM long enough during extended flight, Duvall's unit is destroyed by overload. The Two other Zudah's were kept on-board the test ship Jotunheim for defense.

While it is unconfirmed, it is possible that GM Camouf, a unit employed for false flag operations, is modified from Zudah, though it is possible it uses some Zaku parts, such as the backpack and external power pipes. Appearance wise, it resembles GM some what, though numerous sections, such as the hip section and leg units, resembles those of Zudah, and the visor on its head hides a monoeye sensor. This disguise, when used in area dense in Minovsky particles, allows it to past through enemy's defense, and destroy enemy ships and units behind enemy lines. The effect of the camouflage is so good the squadron is destroyed by its own Musai. It was equipped with standard Zaku weapons (it cannot use beam weapons), though it was usually equipped with a 135mm anti-ship cannon, and a Zaku knuckle-shield that is mounted on the inside of a GM-type shield . Due to the criminality nature of false flag tactics, GM Camouf do not have model number, and is actually denied of being exist.
