Emon Chatterjee
Emon Chatterjee was born on July 2nd, 1989, in West Bengal,India. He later moved on to Calcutta,India. Emon studied in K.V. Airforce Barrackpore till grade 12 ( for his school info go to Indian idol website and his chat transcript). He had alsways been fond of music ever scince being a child. His father,Gopal Chatterjee, had always taught him the wonders of music. This passion of music for Emon brought him to the auditions to Indian Idol. With his beautiful voice, he made it to the Piano Rounds.
Auditions
At Emon's first audition in Calcutta, tragically he feel awfully ill. They had to call the doctor right away while he waited to go. He received medication and was told to audition the next day. He did so and his audition went well.Emon sang Ya Ali, from the film Gangster.
Judges Comments-
Anu Malick:In my opinion, you have tremondous potential to become a very good singer.In my opinoion,you should come to Mumbai.
Javed Akhter:Every good singer gets polished throught time. I think we should give him a chance.
Alisha Chinai:I like your personality, maybe you're not ready yet.
Udit Narayan:You sang couple lines well,but in total, I think you should still learn.
The judges were at a tie, and finally they decided to give him a chance, if he sang another song. Emon sangAaja tujhko pukaare mere geet re'', and made it through this auditions.
Theater rounds
Round#1: In the first Theater Round, Emon sang Tanhaee, from the film,Dil Chatah Hain.
