Emmanuel Morales

Emmanuel Morales is an American musician, singer-songwriter, film maker, vlogger, actor, co-show host and multi-instrumentalist.

Early life and influences

Emmanuel was born somewhere in Baja California, Mexico during a war. His mother protected him from local gangsters until they moved back to the safety of Juarez Chihuahua.

Emmanuel lived a poor childhood from the age of 1 to the age of 8. When his grandmother died in the year 2000 right after Y2K they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Emmanuel discovered heavy metal through his uncle, who at the time was a rocker. Life in the United States proved to be significantly different than it was in Mexico. There was no worry of being killed by a local thug nor did the streets smell like urine.

Music influences

Emmanuel was influenced by different styles of music while growing up. He had always liked Rock and Roll. He was afraid that his peers would reject him because he is Mexican and therefore being pressured by his peers to listen to rancher music and reggaeton. He wasn't exposed to much music around his early teen years because his religion said that rock music is evil. He was left with the option to listen to rap and other music that he tried to force himself to like just to fit in with the crowd at the time, but according to him that music was "crap" and made him unhappy. His life turned to rock and roll when he was a freshman and he bought a used mp3 player that had rock and roll music inside it. He was exposed to a band known as Linkin Park which inspired him to listen to rock music. Influenced by rock and roll, his life took a turn for the better. It wasn't until he discovered a band known as Metallica that his passion for music would truly awaken. He was amazed at the music that Metallica played and he was influenced to pick up a guitar, which would be the first step to reaching true enlightenment.

Film making

Ever since he was young, Emmanuel started to take interest in film making. He created his first animated cartoon when he was a freshman in high school. It only took him 2 days and he had no prior knowledge or tutorials on how to animate. From that point on he got his start by getting his digital camera, and recording himself and his friends doing various acts of stupidity. He later got involved on Youtube making a channel and uploading some of his videos to it. He did not obtain many views, but that did not stop him from learning how to properly edit video on his own. He started making an episodic show entitled "Road Trippin" featuring clips of his adventures with his friends when they went on a trip to Houston in 2008. However this was a short lived series since the rest of his footage was stolen along with every technological device in his home when he was robbed later that year. This did not stop him and he continued to make short videos as well as some short films. He started working on a film entitled "A Day of the Life of Death", however he had to forfeit the death costume, so as of this date all that remains from that film is a short trailer. Due to this trailer someone from a film festival took notice and got in contact with him. He was asked for his short film to be included in the fore mentioned film festival, but dude to the film not being completed, Emmanuel missed the deadline. During his senior year in high school he joined a film class with some of his friends, whom he started making videos with, and developed several short films with them.

In October 2009, he and two of his close friends started a series of web videos entitled The M.E.N Show (M.E.N being an acronym of the first letters of the names of the protagonists). So far reviews of The MEN Show have been favorable, and if it succeeds, he plans to expand the show to other forms of media. Other works of film he does is cover videos, as well as music videos. He also has several short films in the works and hopes to release several films in the future.
