Delay and Shelving
The album has been pushed back numerous of times, it was originally suppose to release in late 2000. In 2001 while adding some final touches to the album, she had got a call from Missy stating that she's moving the album elsewhere. Many believe that Missy couldn't deal with anything at the time because of personal issues and the loss of good friend Aaliyah.
Then got pushed back to July 2001, and again on its final release date October 24, 2001. At the end the label shelved the album.
After the album was shelved Nicole split from the label and returned to her native Virginia. Shortly after Nicole Wray and Missy Elliott terminated their business relationship, however both have confirmed that the deal ended on good terms.
The song "Don't Have To", has been re-recorded by gospel group, Pam & Dodi, which appears on their self-titled album and Two Can Play That Game soundtrack. Nicole was credited for background vocals And Co-writer for the song.
There is a petition to get the album an official release.
