Edward Burroughs (elected official)
Edward Burroughs III (born 1992) is the elected member of the Prince George's County Board of Education from District 8. He lives in Temple Hills, Maryland.
Burroughs was elected in 2008 and 2009 to serve as a student representative on the Prince George's County, Maryland Board of Education, while he was a student at Crossland High School in Temple Hills, Maryland. He was the first student to serve two consecutive terms. During the spring 2010 session, Burroughs worked as an intern for Maryland State Senator C. Anthony Muse.
In 2010, together with his fellow 18-year-old Muse intern David Murray, Burroughs sought elective office with Burroughs winning, but Murray losing. Burroughs became the youngest elected official in the state of Maryland.
Burroughs worked as a tae-kwon-do junior instructor at the Hillcrest Heights recreational center.
