EditMe is a wiki hosting service (sometimes called a wiki farm) based in Maynard, Massachusetts. The service launched in August 2003, and the company officially incorporated in November 2005.

Services

EditMe offers private wikis with advanced features for businesses, non-profits and educators for an annual fee. An early entrant in the space, EditMe was selected as an Editor's Choice by PC Magazine in December 2003. EditMe competes with PBworks, Wetpaint, Wikia, and Wikispaces. EditMe attempts to differentiate itself by being a "wiki hosting service that helps non-technical users to quickly and easily build editable web sites."

By February 2010, EditMe's customer base had grown to over 600, ranging from individuals to publicly traded corporations. EditMe is also a contributor to the Kiva Loan program, and has offered nearly 400 loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries to help start or grow their businesses.

Customers have included eBay, Microsoft, the US military, the Australian government, The Discovery Channel, UPS, the American Institute of Physics, and several large universities around the world.

Company

EditMe is a self-funded Micro ISV, and is a growing and profitable business. EditMe follows the Lean Startup business model, which is a set of processes used by entrepreneurs to develop products and markets. EditMe keeps operations lean, avoided venture investors, and focuses on delivering a product that fits into a perceived market.
