Dwi Anggia

Dwi Anggia is a news presenter and reporter at one of private Indonesian television stations ANTV.

Career

She started her career in 2002 as a Radio Announcer at Arbes FM Padang. In 2004 she became News Presenter at Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) Padang, a part of state-owned television station of the Republic of Indonesia, TVRI, broadcasts exclusively for West Sumatra province. Her career as Broadcast Journalist continues as in 2005 she moved to Jakarta and join Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), a private-owned Indonesian television station famous of their leading news team: Liputan 6. As a newbie in SCTV, she was trained as an investigative reporter, where she learnt how to be a good journalist.

Her first experience as News Presenter at SCTV was hosting their 30 minute investigative crime news program called Sigi. Her deep voice and placid appearance soon catches the attention of audiences. She was accredited as one of Liputan 6 Siang Presenters before she decided to align as Anchor at another private Indonesian television station, the newly revamped ANTV in 2009. Today she is assigned as anchor of their daily hard news program: Kabar Petang.

Private Life

Dwi Anggia was born 19 January 1983 in Padang as a second child of 4 siblings. She spent most of her childhood in the city where she also attended the state-owned Andalas University and earned bachelor degree in Agronomics.

She enjoys being a journalist as it gives her the unique opportunity to travel around the world. During her spare time she loves spending time with her family, friends, and indulging her passion in music and painting. She plays guitar, piano, and bass.
