DuoPlanet™ is a Danish organization headquartered in Jutland/Copenhagen, Denmark, that provides web assistance and third-party plugins for Valve Corporation games. Its best-known virtual products are the Open-source software DP-CMS Content Management System, the sRs(Structured Ranking System). The DP-CMS was first announced in August 1, 2014, and the sRs was released in November 17, 2012.

Plugins

The sRs ranking system is an advanced third-party plugin available for Valve Corporation created in the programming language Python. Users must have EventScripts installed on the game server, before the plugin works. The purpose of the sRs was to make it easy for game server owners to keep track of their players. sRs offers MySQL database solution to make the data available on a external web server or in-game. The method used to sort and give players rank based on their progress done by [...] other players in various different games such as Counter-Strike: Source, is by the popular method ELO rating. The calculations are based on 5 different factors: Kill/Death ratio, current rating, rank and amount of players ranked, the kill spot and the time.

DuoPlant quotes: "This is by far the best and most efficient method to calculate people rank with intention, making players that are highly skilled at the game, make it easy for them to be in the top, and not because you've played a lot. sRs has a installed administrative control panel, that can be used to delete players who has been accused of cheating, exploiting the system, but are mostly-likely to be filtered out by sRs advanced player filter. The administrative control panel can also be used to control the web based features from remote control in the game server.

The sRs had more than 150,000 players logged in the database by the year 2014.

Development

DuoPlanet was founded by Frederik Munk, Andreas Malthe Henriksen. They was partnered with GamersHosting, as it closed in May 6, 2013. The opening of GamersHosting partnership with DuoPlanet's founders, made a huge impact with the creation of the organization DuoPlanet, because of the association with GamersHosting. Frederik Munk was a former employee of GamersHosting and helped with server-sided features.

History

In 2013, before the organization DuoPlanet, Frederik Munk and Andreas Malthe Henriksen was not Economic stable to ensure Resources such as servers, optimized network, they became in contact with GamersHosting who helped them out by a donation of a free-charge working game server.
