Dundalk F.C. 2007 season

Dundalk started off well in the season wining their first 4 game and went 15 unbeaten. At one stage Dundalk were 12 points clear at the top of the first division. Dundalk were then struck by a lot of injuries including some of Dundalk key players, this saw Dundalk fall from the top of the division. At the end of the season Dundalk were 11 points behind the champions Cobh. Dundalk finished 3rd and qualified for the play-offs but Dundalk had such a depleted squad Gill was forced into calling 4 plays from the youth team, Dundalk lost 2-1 to Finn Harps (Who went on to get promoted). A very disappointing season for Dundalk after such a great start.
