Duke & Dexter

Duke & Dexter is a British born footwear label, specialising in men's shoes. The company is best known for its celebrity clients and was Founded in 2014 by Archie Hewlett when he was 18 years old.

Its flagship store is in Covent Garden; Seven Dials, London. Duke & Dexter also retails in London stores including Liberty and Harvey Nichols, on top of 21 international stockists. Dukeanddexter.com ships from a fulfilment centre in the UK.

As of 2015, they changed production channels from Italy to the UK, wanting to support British trade. Each shoe is now handmade in England. In 2015 Eddie Redmayne wore a bespoke pair of Duke & Dexter's when accepting his Oscar Award for The Theory of Everything. From there the brand gained international recognition with Instagram a main engine for the company's development.

History

In 2014, Archie Hewlett founded the brand when he was 18 years old, initially borrowing money from his parents.

In 2014, Eddie Redmayne wore a bespoke pair when accepting his Oscar Award for The Theory of Everything. Celebrity clients also include Jonah Hill, Ryan Reynolds, Justin Timberlake, Poppy Delevingne, Tyson Beckford and Tinie Tempah.

In 2015, the company changed manufacturing channels from Italy to Sheffield, England. Each shoe is designed in London and handmade in England. Archie Hewlett wanted to support British craftsmanship and trade.

In 2015, Duke & Dexter discontinued their women's range, to focus on menswear.

In 2016, they opened a store in Covent Garden, Seven Dials, London and introduced their bespoke service. Clients are also able to initial loafers.

In 2016, Duke & Dexter teamed up with bespoke shoe artist, Daniel Cordas, who hand paints art on to shoes. They also teamed up with Buckshot CoFFEE Company, where customers can have a complimentary coffee in store.
