Dream Broadcasting System
Dream Broadcasting System (also known as DREAM Satellite TV) is a satellite TV service in the Philippines. Dream Broadcasting uses the Agila 2 satellite.

AbOUT Dream
DREAM Satellite TV is the first all-digital Direct-To-Home (DTH) television broadcasting service via satellite in the Philippines.
Broadcasting from the DREAM Broadcast Center located at the Clark Special Economic Zone in Pampanga, channel content is received from program providers, compressed and broadcasted via Mabuhay Satellite Agila II in DVB and NTSC color format exclusively to DREAM subscribers.
Because of the DTH technology, there is no location too remote for DREAM. Beyond cable areas and even on Philippine coastal waters.
Company Timeline
- April 1997 - Incorporation of Philippine Multi-Media System, Inc. (PMSI)
- February 6, 1998 - Congress passed into law Republic Act No. 8630 which granted PMSI a franchise to construct, install, maintain and operate for commercial purposes and in the public interest, television and radio broadcasting in the Philippines. The franchise term is 25 years.
- February 1, 2000 - The NTC granted a provisional authority to engage in Direct-To-Home (DTH) satellite services.
- February 7, 2001 - PMSI inaugurates its Dream Broadcasting Center at Clark Development Center
- April 22, 2001 - Commercial launch of DREAM Broadcasting System, the first DTH system in the Philippines
- October 2005 Dream adds Discovery Channel, Discovery Travel and Living, and Animal Planet
- June 2006- Dream starts eliminating popular channels, such as Reality TV, 21st Century Channel, Fox News, Star Chinese Movies and Channel V; and replacing them with Free to air channels. Rates remain the same.
- October 2006 - Eurosport Channel was initially test broadcast replacing 21st Century Channel.
- November 23, 2006 - ETC 2nd Avenue launched, replacing Wine TV
- November 27, 2006 - Solar Sports launched, replacing Basketball TV
