DRAGOON

DRAGOON System - Acronym for Disconected Rapid Armament Group Overlook Operation Network. New technology present in the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam piloted by ZAFT's Ace Pilot Rau Le Creuset on the last day of the War, on September 26, CE 71 in the Second Battle of Jachin Due.

11 units with a total of 43 beam gun nozzles are stored in Providence's backpack and, once deployed, can be controlled wirelessly by the suit's pilot in all directions, in an all range attack. This particular feature allowed Rau Le Creuset to destroy countless Mobile Suits and heavily damage Kira Yamato's ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam.1

This piece of technology has been used in other Gundam series, under the name of Funnels2. In the 1988 Film Char's Counterattack, suits such as Char Aznable's MSN-04 Sazabi3, Quess Air's NZ-333 Alpha Azieru4, Gyunei Guss's MSN-03 Jagd Doga5 or Amuro Ray's RX-93 Nu Gundam6 all used this technology. Still, the number of funnels used by the later suits were inferior to that of Providence's (9 funnels for the Alpha Azieru and 6 for all other suits capable of carrying them)
