Dragon Lineage

The Dragon Lineage is a fictional lineage in the series of videogames Ninja Gaiden.

History

The Dragon Lineage began when the Serpent, Deity of Creation and part of the First Deity Gurdu, created the Thirteen Dragons to defend the world from the Evil Deity Vigoor. The Thirteen Dragons managed to defeat Vigoor. But the Dark Dragon, the youngest and lowiest of the Thirteen Dragons, summoned all of his Hatred with his feelings of inferiority to restore Vigoor. The Dark Dragon united with Vigoor to capture the territory of Gurdu. The Dragons battled Vigoor and his army of Evil Deities. The battle continued for eons until the rising of the Ancient Tribes, the first humans. Finally, the Dragon Lineage, the human descendants of the Dragons, defeated the Evil Deities. One fang of one of the Thirteen Dragons were used to forge a sword, the Dragon Sword. Also, the bones of the Dark Dragon were retieved to forge the Dark Dragon Blade as the dark counterpart of the Dragon Sword. The Hayabusa Ninja Clan, the modern descendants of the Dragon Lineage, used the Dragon Sword to fight the evil in the world. Currently, the last Hayabusa and the new protector of the Dragon Sword is the Ninja Ryu Hayabusa. The Dragon sword serves as Ryu's primary weapon and has upgrades to the level of four (achieved by placing the dragons eye into the slot at the bottom of the hilt)and is said by many gamers to be one of the most over-used weapons in the game. Another weapon that is said to be over-used by Ninja Gaiden players is the Unlaboured Flawlessness (achieved by upgrading the Wooden Sword to its max level)but is not as well balanced as the Dragon sword. However weilding the sword when ones health is at a critical level allows the sword to do much greater damage and is said in this state to be the most powerful sword in the game.
