Drago Pet
Drago Pet – mobile game created and released by A&A Games in 2011. The player's task is to take care of a virtual dragon. The game offers 3d graphics but it was inspired by the tamagotchi electronic toy.
Gameplay
There are four stages in a Dragons life: egg, baby, teen and adult. In the beginning the player receives a dragon egg and has to take care of it by heating it up or cooling it down. After a while the dragon will hatch. The user cares for the dragon by feeding it, cleaning its surrounding, playing with it and managing its sleep time. The game also features a "mini game book" where additional gameplay modes are available. These allow the user to gain currency required to buy food and upgrade the dragon's abilities. Should a player fail as a care-taker, the dragon may escape, or even die of starvation. There are several colours of the dragon available. Additional functionality can be purchased via the Google Play micro-transaction system, such as speeding up a dragon's development or changing its colour.
Popularity
Since its release, Drago Pet has been downloaded at least a million times. The game is being continually updated; over 50 updates have been released. The creators intend to add multiplayer functionality in a future update. The game's fans kongregate on the Facebook page with over 15 thousand members and at the official website.
