Dr. Sumit Kumar

Dr. Sumit Kumar, also known as Dr. Sumit Kumar Jha, was born in Benipatti, Madhubani, Bihar, India in Brahmin family. He was the Recipient of the ICSSR doctoral fellowship award for his PhD research in the filed of international relations at the Pondicherry Central University, under the supervision of Prof. Nalini Kant Jha, Former Dean, School of Social Sciences & International Studies, Pondicherry University and Vice Chancellor, T.M.Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. Dr. Sumit has published a number of articles in the journals of national and international repute. He is one of the potential writer as columnist in various newspapers of the country.

Education

Dr. Sumit Kumar graduated in Political Science from the University of Delhi. He has obtained his M. Phil and Ph.D. (International Relations) from Pondicherry University, India.

Professional career

He has expertise as a foreign policy analyst. He regularly writes on issues regarding India’s foreign policy, Asia-Pacific, South Asia for major news daily in India and Abroad including the Statement, the Pioneer, the Diplomat, the Daily Times, the New Indian Express, the Sunday Guardian, the Deccan Herald, the Daily News Analysis, the National Interest and others. His articles have also been published by the London School of Economic and Political Science, the East Asia Forum, Centre for Land and Warfare Studies and the institute of Peace and Conflict Studies .
