Early life

Dr. Mrs. Victoria Adunola Samson, popularly known as Mama BOVAS, was born on 5 December 14 into a prominent family of Iree origin in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria. She was raised in a deeply religious household, where she developed a strong foundation of faith and moral values from an early age.

Education

Victoria Adunola received her secondary education at Ilesha Grammar School. She further her knowledge and professional capacity through executive and leadership programmes, including partcipation at Harvard Business School. She also attended the Chief Executive Programme at Lagos Business School and IESE Business School.

In addition, she holds a Professional Diploma in Marketing and has continued to strengthen her expertise through various management, strategy, and leadership courses, seminars, and training programmes both within Nigeria and Internationally.

Career

Starting from humble beginnings, Vice Adunola Samson began her career as a marketer with Mobil Plc. Through dedication and consistent performance, she rose through the ranks and, in 1980, became a dealer under Texaco Nigeria Ltd.

With over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, she established a reputation as an outstanding marketing professional. In 1990, she achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious Texaco Plc Best Dealer for the Latin America/West African Region (LAWA). The award recognised her exceptional sales performance, innovative marketing strategies, and High Standards of customer service. She was notably the first Nigerian to receive this honour, recording the highest combines sales across both regions that year.
