The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Phoenix Tempe in Tempe, Arizona opened in 1975 as the Fiesta Resort. It is renowned for its distinctive Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture. The hotel is located at 2100 South Priest Drive, Tempe, Arizona.
History
The resort was designed by William (Bill) Cone, a graduate of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture at Taliesin West, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Originally opened in 1975, a significant renovation and expansion project, including the construction of a brand new conference center featuring of indoor/outdoor function space and state-of-the-art fitness center, was completed in 2008. It was renamed DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Phoenix Tempe in 2013.
Ownership
The property’s ownership group is composed of Capri Inc. and Gustin Property Investors. It is managed by Driftwood Hospitality Management.
