Dottie Thornton
Dottie Thornton Martin was a character in the fictional town of Pine Valley on the American TV soap opera, All My Children. The role was played by Tasia Valenza who received a Daytime Emmy nomination as Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for the character in 1985.
In 1984, her mother, Edna Thornton, paid Tad Martin to date Dottie. Not knowing this, Dottie fell deeply in love with Tad. When she found out that Tad was actually in love with Hillary Wilson, Phoebe Tyler's stepdaughter, she hatched A Plan to get pregnant by Tad so he would stay with her. She did get pregnant and an admittedly shotgun wedding to Tad took place, even though Tad really loved Hillary and Dottie had secretly miscarried and lost the baby. Once the truth came out, the two were divorced. Dottie was last seen in Pine Valley in 1986.
