Don't Wait Animate

Don't Wait Animate is an indie/dubstep band from East London, England formed in 2008. Their music fuses dub, art rock, blues, dancehall, prog rock, folk and Afro beat. With quirky lyrics & soft synth added, they have gained a cult following through their innovative and energetic live shows..

Describing themselves as indie at heart, they borrow heavily from dubstep beats. They take influence from artists such as Bloc Party, Devo and Battles as well as dubstep merchants Rusko, Burial & Skream. . They are also credited with creating their own unique genre; "Strumstep" after an intoxicated fan suggested the term after a London gig.

Despite only being together for a year, the five-piece has already headlined many notable and renowned London venues such as Proud, 93 Feet East and Barfly . They later gained attention with remixes of The xx, Arctic Monkeys and Robot Disaster tracks and have been endorsed by the likes of CMU, Dazed Digital.
