DisCleaner
DisCleaner, developed by Microprogramming TECHNIQUES, is an utility program designed from scratch to deal with unneeded files created by the Operating System itself or by various Applications that are running on your computer. It was designed to offer a GeneRally secure operation and a great user experience by minimizing the things you need to do in order to clean your computer from these unneeded files. However the engine is powerful but it does not make the difference between some intentionally created files and Application remnants. For this purpose, the selection of actions that DisCleaner offers, is divided into three categories, designated as Safe, Secure, and Unsafe. You still have the ability to control whether to clean certain files or not, from a list of files that DisCleaner arranges for you.
Features
DisCleaner is a portable application, which means it can be copied to any USB drive, CD-ROM media, MO (magneto-optical) disk, or even a standard old 1.44M diskette. It can also be run directly from a network location. No installation is required and its operation is totally independent of the Windows Registry. DisCleaner's footprint is very small (under 1 Mb, no compression) and its execution is fast. It does not depend on additional DLL (dynamic link library) files in order to run properly on the targeted operating systems.
DisCleaner is a free application (unlimited number of computers and unlimited number of users). However DisCleaner is not open-source and cannot be reproduced by 3rd parties.
DisCleaner has the ability to clean:

In time the functionality expanded very much and the code was extended in order to support the new features of the Windows operating systems that appeared later. DisCleaner gathered its name in 2004, starting with version 1.0.0.0.
