Digital Lab

Jared Matos, better known by his stage name Digital LAB, is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. He has toured with Kaskade and Laidback Luke on their North American tours, as well as making appearances at festivals like Tomorrowland and Nocturnal Wonderland.

In 2012, he released his debut single, Hit It! featuring Henrix and GTA on Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia's label, SiZe Records.

Biography

Early life and career

Jared Matos was born in Miami, Florida. He learned to play the guitar at an early age. He spent part of his childhood living in Puerto Rico where he was heavily influenced by Hispanic drumbeats. After returning to Miami in his teens he became interested in house music. "One day, I wondered how these people make this music so I Google-d it and came up with the demo of FL Studio software," he recalls. "I've never looked back since then moving right into house music."

His remixes quickly garnered the attention of Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello who signed hime to his label, SiZe Records in 2012. Soon after, Digital LAB releases its debut single, Hit It! which featured Miami-based DJ's, Henrix and GTA. The single received positive reviews as well as support from well known DJ's Kaskade and Tiesto.

He has spent the last few years opening shows for big name DJ's as well as headlining his own shows in cities like San Francisco, Hollywood, and Chicago. When he is not performing he is remixing tracks for artists like Kaskade, Designer Drugs, Christian Falero, Style of Eye, Dirty South, and Sgt Slick. He has released tracks on MixMash, Dim Mak Records, Spinnin' Records, Superstar Recordings, Ultra, Cr2 Records, and Nervous Records. Most recently, he has collaborated with David Tort and MITS on the tracks A Journey Into Sound and Here We Go, respectively. He is currently signed with the Australian based label, Vicious Records.
