Dhyan Network management System
DNMS is carrier class management application that is scalable, and customizable. It is developed using components that provide generic Topology, Fault, Configuration, Performance, and Security functions.
DNMS which is built on DMS (Dhyan Management Systems) technology provides all the major functions needed to deploy, monitor, configure and manage a network. Since DNMS is modular, additional features can be added easily and cost effectively by customizing the components to suit individual situation. DNMS has been deployed to manage different types of networks and network elements whether it is wireless access points, or optical switches or core routers etc.
DNMS supports a variety of Northbound and Southbound interfaces making it very flexible.
Northbound interfaces are provided so that DNMS can pass information to other Network Management Systems or Service Management Systems. Protocols that are supported on the Northbound are:
JMX, CORBA, SNMP and XML/HTTP
Southbound interfaces provide two-way access to the network elements that DNMS manages. In addition to any proprietary protocol required by the customer, DNMS also supports standard protocols, including:
SNMP, TL1, XML, CMIP, CORBA and Netflow/IPFIX
