Dexter + Chaney is a privately-owned US supplier of an integrated project management software and accounting software to the construction industry of small to large-sized companies. The company is based out of Seattle, WA and they have over 70 employees. (2007)

History:

John Chaney and Mark Dexter founded the company in 1981. They launched the Forefront™ construction management software in XENIX and progressively adapted to other operating systems such as UNIX, Microsoft DOS, Microsoft Windows, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows XP. In 2007, Dexter + Chaney renamed Forefront™ construction management software to Spectrum™ construction management software, which is based on Microsoft SQL Server technology.
