DeWarmte B.V.
DeWarmte B.V. is a Dutch manufacturer and installer of residential heat pump systems headquartered in The Hague. The company develops hybrid and all-electric heating technologies.
History
DeWarmte was founded in 2018 in Delft by Sander Wapperom and Auke de Vries, who previously studied mechanical engineering at the Delft University of Technology.
In 2019, the founders developed the HeatCycle, a system that recovers heat from wastewater to reduce domestic gas consumption. The technology was presented as an innovative approach to sustainable heating.
The company introduced the Pomp AO hybrid heat pump in 2021, enabling partial electrification of home heating.
In 2024, DeWarmte launched the Pomp T heat pump boiler, designed to operate in combination with the Pomp AO as an all-electric system. Production and installation of the HeatCycle were discontinued in 2024 as the company focused on hybrid and all-electric heat pump technologies.
In 2019, the company received the Rabobank Innovatiefonds award, followed by the ASN Wereldprijs in 2020. Its product design was further recognized in 2024 with an iF Design Award.
That same year, DeWarmte was ranked sixth in the KVK Innovation Top 100 and was included again in the 2025 EDition of this ranking.
In 2023, DeWarmte relocated its operations from Delft to The Hague, while logistics and manufacturing activities were moved to Utrecht.
In 2025, the company was also featured in the MT/Sprout Challenger Top 50.
In November 2025, DeWarmte introduced the Pomp MP, a hybrid heat pump developed as a higher-capacity version of the Pomp AO to be used in larger residential properties.
