Destiny Media Technologies is a developer of internet tools for securing and distributing digital media content.

History

Destiny Software Productions, Inc., the wholly owned operating subsidiary started as a private video game development company founded in 1991 by Steve Vestergaard and Michael Hiebert. The company was founded in 1991 and went public in 1999. Destiny developed the first internet radio software in 1996.

MPE Digital Rights Management

MPE is a security system that consists of two patent pending technologies:

1. Locks content to authorized computers

2. Embeds a trace in unlocked content so the source of pirated copies can be identified.

The Play MPE product is used by record labels to deliver new music to radio stations and other trusted users. The Podds system is an iPod compatible music store.

Clipstream

Clipstream is a proprietary streaming media software product. The player is implemented as a Java applet and meant to be embedded in web pages. Clipstream uses HTTP Streaming so it acts as a "web object", taking advantage of caching and passing through most firewalls. It is unique in that no streaming server is required. Customers encode, then upload video content to their existing websites.

Pirate Radio Software

Pirate Radio Software is a PC based Internet radio broadcaster. Stations are aggregated in real time to Appear in the Station Directory
